Kristin Hodson is a graduate of BYU Hawaii where she earned a BSW in International Social Work, a graduate of the University of Utah where she earned her Master of Social Work, and will begin her Doctoral studies at California Institute For Integral Studies this fall. In addition to her academic achievements, Kristin is certified as a sex therapist through the American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Kristin is the Founder and Executive Director of The Healing Group and teaches human sexuality in clinical practice as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Social Work at the University of Utah.
Kristin is passionate about increasing the sexuality competency in mental health professionals, medical providers, and religious clergy in an effort to improve the sexual health of the community at large. One of her favorite things to do is bridge things that don’t seemingly go together like sex and religion. She founded the Rocky Mountain Sex & Intimacy Summit to further the dialogue locally.
She’s often asked to speak in the community and religious groups because she has a unique ability to break down the topics of sexuality into easily digestible pieces empowering people to further develop their sexual identity, hone their sexual values, improve their communication around sexuality all with the intention to improve people’s relationships with themselves and others.
Kristin lives with her husband in Salt Lake City and is a mother to three wild things. She loves to be on the water, be in the mountains, and plan adventures with her family.
